Quick post this time – it’s been a busy week!

This year’s winner of the World Press Photo is Spanish photographer Samuel Arnada.  According to jurors, his photo captured different elements of the Arab Spring (the photo was taken in Yemen).

As an example of life imitating art, when I saw it, my first thought was “It’s the Pieta!” If you don’t know this famous sculpture (Michelangelo made it), see below…
