Saakashvili going down in Georgia?

Early election results from Georgia’s (the country, not the US state, Americans…) parliamentary elections are coming out, and it looks like incumbent president and pro-American sweetheart Saakashvili might be in a bit of trouble.

Georgia uses a mixed electoral system:  77 seats from proportional representation (PR) party list, 73 from a “first past the post” (FPTP) system.  Saakashvili’s opponent, billionaire Bidzina Ivanishvili, is claiming victory in the PR lists.  However, Saakashvili claims his party is winning the FPTP seats.

Full results likely out later today.
