Eurozone recovery: seeing the forest versus the trees

Just a quick post in reaction to an article I saw on the BBC this morning: “Eurozone comes out of recession.”  Go beyond the title, and you notice this “recovery” has been driven primarily by a few countries.  Portugal is looking pretty good, as are Germany (no surprise there!) and France, but Spain, Italy, and the Netherlands all saw declining GDP.

From the BBC article “Eurozone comes out of recession.”

Europe still has some serious economic problems to address, but on the bright side, even for the struggling economies (yes, I’m talking about you, Greece), things are looking less bad than a year ago.
