Quick newspost this time…saw a great article in the New York Times this morning. As Turkey is becoming an increasing regional player, their state identity is really coming into debate. Are they a democracy (or not)? Islamic or secular? Eastern or Western?
And all these questions are coming to a head with the trial of military officers charged with plotting a coup against the government of the Islamic AKP party.
